Applies to all business owners managing a listing on the The Woo Directory, published by FabMags CC.
Effective: 1 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the owner portal on The Woo Directory (the “Directory”), operated by FabMags CC (“FabMags”, “we”, “us”). By ticking the acceptance box in the owner welcome screen and continuing to manage your listing, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not accept these terms, you must cancel the acceptance prompt and refrain from using the owner portal.
By submitting or editing information on your listing, including business name, contact details, addresses, descriptions, opening hours, categories and any other text, you confirm that you own that information or are authorised to publish it, and you take full ownership of and responsibility for it. You are solely responsible for keeping the information accurate and up to date.
By uploading a logo, featured image, banner image, gallery photograph or any other media to your listing, you confirm that you either own that content outright or have the necessary licences, permissions and consents (including from any people depicted) to publish it on the Directory and to grant FabMags the licence in clause 4. You are solely responsible for any third-party claim arising from content you upload.
You grant FabMags a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, optimise, display and distribute your listing content on the Directory, on regional subdomains, in syndicated feeds used by FabMags publications, on our social media channels, and in promotional material relating to the Directory. This licence lasts for as long as your listing remains published and is revoked when the listing is removed.
You agree not to publish content that is unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, infringing of third-party rights, or that promotes illegal activity. You agree not to use the owner portal to impersonate another business, to scrape data, or to attempt to interfere with the operation of the Directory. We may remove or unpublish any listing or item of content that breaches this clause, with or without notice.
Your online listing is included at no additional cost for as long as you hold a current advertising package in the corresponding printed FabMags directory. If your printed-directory advertising lapses or is cancelled, the online listing becomes a billable service. We will notify you by email at the contact address on your listing and you will have 14 days from the date of that email to either subscribe to a paid online plan or the listing will be removed from the Directory. Subscription prices are those published on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.
By accepting these terms you agree that FabMags may send you marketing communications related solely to FabMags magazines, directories and associated product titles. We will not share your contact details with unrelated third parties for marketing purposes. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email; doing so will not affect operational emails relating to your listing (such as sign-in links, payment notices and removal warnings).
You may cancel your online listing at any time by contacting us at the address in clause 17. Cancellation of the online listing is immediate on receipt of your request. Cancellation of an online listing does not cancel any printed-directory advertising contract you hold with FabMags. Print contracts remain governed by their own separate terms.
If a paid online listing falls into arrears and remains unpaid after reasonable reminders, FabMags may suspend or cancel the listing without further notice and without refund of fees already paid.
Refunds on paid online listings are available within 14 days of the initial payment, on written request. After 14 days, no refunds are payable, whether the listing is cancelled by you or by FabMags.
We process personal information you submit (such as your contact email and phone number) in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Operational emails are sent through Resend; listing data and uploaded media are stored on Supabase; the site is delivered via Vercel and Cloudflare. We do not sell your personal information.
The Directory is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FabMags, its directors, employees and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) the content you publish on your listing, (b) your breach of these terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.
FabMags may suspend, unpublish or permanently remove a listing at its discretion if (a) the listing breaches these terms, (b) the underlying printed-directory advertising lapses and the 14-day grace period in clause 6 expires, (c) a paid listing is in arrears, or (d) we receive a legitimate complaint or legal notice requiring removal. Where practicable we will give the listing owner reasonable prior notice.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to listing owners and the updated effective date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the owner portal after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Questions about these terms, cancellation requests, refund requests and POPIA queries can be sent to FabMags via the email address published on the home page of the Directory.
